OXYCOM IntrCooll
OXYCOM FRESH AIR B.V. based in the Netherlands, is a global supplier of adiabatic cooling systems and has developed its solutions since 2002, with the ambition to drastically reduce the ecological footprint of the traditional air conditioning industry.
The company’s most popular solution, IntrCooll, is a cutting-edge, dual-stage adiabatic natural cooling system, which we consider the foremost sustainable, green, energy-efficient air-conditioning solution worldwide.
IntrCooll works by constantly cooling fresh outdoor air and distributing it indoors. The fresh air is filtered and pre-cooled by a heat exchanger with cold water. The water is chilled through the evaporative cooling process. The pre-cooling stage reduces the air temperature before it enters the OXYVAP® evaporative media. The OXYVAP® evaporative media subsequently cools down the air further. The 100% fresh, cooled air is then transferred to the indoor environment.
Using a combination of the direct and indirect evaporative cooling principle, cools the air to a lower temperature and greatly reduces the amount of humidity added to the cooled air stream. This makes the process more efficient.
In some cases, IntrCooll can completely replace mechanical cooling systems, at a fraction of their running costs. Alternatively, it can supplement climate control installations with air-handling equipment, by supplying pre-cooled air to the air-handling equipment. Supplying pre-cooled air can significantly reduce the working hours of water chillers and packaged units, which lowers the energy-consumption of a facility during the cooling period.
